Turck FDN20-16XSG DeviceNet Bus Interface Module

The TURCK FDN20-16XSG DeviceNet Bus Interface Module is a compact distributed I/O station that connects digital signals to Device-Net PLC networks, enabling decentralised I/O for machine-mounted control systems. It offers 16 universal digital channels (DI/DO) with PNP 24 VDC inputs and PNP outputs rated at 0.5 A per channel, powered from a 24 VDC Device-Net supply, and supports Device-Net transmission rates of 125, 250, and 500 kbps. Addressing is via rotary switch (0–63 node addresses), and the module provides galvanic isolation between I/O groups with three isolated supply groups, all accessible through a 5-pin screw-terminal Device-Net connection. The rugged nylon/industrial polymer housing supports DIN rail or panel mounting, protects to IP20, and operates from -40°C to +70°C. Commonly deployed in automotive assembly lines, packaging machines, material handling systems, and conveyor networks where localized I/O processing and real-time Device-Net communication between field devices and PLC controllers are required.
