Turck MK13-R-EX0 Safety Relay

The TURCK MK13-R-EX0 Safety Relay provides galvanic isolation and intrinsically safe signal conditioning to transfer discrete NAMUR signals from hazardous areas to safe-area control systems. This 1-channel isolating switching amplifier in the Multi Modul MK13 Series operates from 20-250 VAC (40–70 Hz) or DC 20-125 V, drawing ≤ 3 W, and accepts NAMUR sensors, dry contacts, and variable resistors per EN 60947-5-6. The relay output offers one normally open contact with a selectable NO/NC operation, while maintaining galvanic isolation between input, output, and supply; it also includes wire-break and short-circuit monitoring. It carries SIL 2 functional safety rating and ATEX intrinsically safe interface approval for hazardous areas, with terminal block connections for electrical wiring, DIN rail mounting, and IP20 protection for use in hazardous-area process automation environments. Typical installations include burner management systems, chemical dosing skids, refinery process controls, tank monitoring systems, and other hazardous location equipment where safe transmission of field signals into PLC/DCS systems is critical.
