Turck MS1-12 Ex0-R Multi Safe Switching Amplifier

The TURCK MS1-12EX0-R Multi Safe Switching Amplifier is a single‑channel, intrinsically safe interface that enables safe signal transmission between hazardous and non‑hazardous areas in NAMUR sensor networks. It is designed for use in chemical processing plants, oil and gas facilities, refineries, tank farms, and process automation systems requiring safe signal transmission across hazardous boundaries, and is commonly deployed in refinery process controls, burner management systems, tank monitoring installations, mining operations, and PLC or DCS control panels needing intrinsically safe NAMUR sensor interfacing and hazardous area relay switching. It operates from a universal supply of 20–250 VAC or 20–125 VDC (40–70 Hz) and consumes ≤3 W. The input accepts NAMUR sensors, dry contacts, and variable resistors, with 8 VDC nominal input voltage, 8 mA nominal input current, and a switching threshold of 1.55 mA. Output consists of two relay outputs, each with SPDT (changeover) contacts, capable of switching up to 250 VAC or 60 VDC, up to 4 A per output, and a per‑output switching capacity of 1000 VA / 60 W. Galvanic isolation exists between input, output, and supply circuits. Hazardous area approvals include ATEX II (1) GD, I (M1), [Ex ia] IIC. Mounting options are DIN rail or panel, with IP20 protection and an operating temperature range of −25°C to +60°C.
