Turck MS23-22EX0-R Multi-Safe Direction Discriminator
Turck MS23-22EX0-R Multi-Safe Direction Discriminator
Description:
The TURCK MS23-22EX0-R Multi-Safe Direction Discriminator is a single-channel device used in hazardous-area motion monitoring to detect clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of industrial equipment such as conveyors, mixers, pumps, turbines, and packaging machinery. It operates from 90-132 VAC at 48-62 Hz and accepts NAMUR sensors (8.2 VDC/8.2 mA), PNP sensors (15 VDC/15 mA max), or external pulse sources with an input range of 0-3 VDC OFF and 5-30 VDC ON; the maximum input frequency is 150,000 pulses per minute with pulse time and pause of at least 0.02 ms. The module provides two SPDT relay outputs (up to 250 VAC or 30 VDC, up to 2 A per output, 500 VA / 60 W per output) with complete galvanic isolation, and an adjustable delay from 0.1 to 30 seconds. Mounting options include DIN rail or panel installation, and it carries IP20 protection with an operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C, suitable for industrial hazardous-area and process-control environments. Common replacements include TURCK MS23-R Direction Discriminator and TURCK IM21-14-CDTRI Rotation Speed Monitor, with the latter serving as a related monitoring device within TURCK’s Multi-Safe family.
