Turck NI20-CP40-VP4X2-S100 Inductive Proximity Sensor

The TURCK NI20-CP40-VP4X2-S100 Combi Prox Inductive Sensor is a non-contact metal detector for industrial automation, using UPROX sensing to deliver consistent detection across all metals and resistance to magnetic fields. Housed in a rectangular CP40 housing (114 × 40 × 40 mm) for flush mounting, this sensor provides a 20 mm nominal sensing distance, a PNP transistor output with a complementary NO/NC function, and a 10–65 VDC supply with up to 200 mA load current. It switches at up to 250 Hz, is IP68 protected, and operates from -30°C to +85°C. The device uses a reinforced PBT-GF30-V0 housing with a PA6-GF30-X active face, and offers variable active-face orientation in 9 directions along with high-visibility corner LEDs for quick status checks. Common applications include long-range metal object detection and machine positioning in conveyors, automotive assembly lines, material handling equipment, transfer systems, and packaging machinery, and it is a common replacement for NI40U-CP40-VP4X2 and BI20U-CP40-VP4X2 S100 variants.
