Vertiv Avocent ACS804EAC-400 is a compact 4-port serial console system in the ACS800 family that provides secure in-band and out-of-band visibility and control for IT equipment. It offers four RS-232 serial target ports on RJ45, configurable as RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, plus a separate RJ45 serial console port for management; two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces handle management traffic. Power is supplied by an external AC/DC adapter compatible with 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input and 12 VDC output, with typical power draw around 6–7 W and a maximum of 28 W; the unit measures 8.4 in (W) x 7.2 in (D) x 1.2 in (H) and weighs about 2.4 lb. Inside, it uses a Cortex-A9 MPCore-based processor with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB eMMC flash storage, and provides 4 USB 2.0 ports, an environmental sensor port for Liebert SN sensors, and 4 digital input/output lines, enabling logging, monitoring, and remote control of connected devices.
