Vertiv Avocent AV3216 KVM Over IP Switch

Vertiv Avocent AV3216 is a 16-port KVM over IP switch that lets you access and control up to 16 VGA-enabled servers from a single local console, simplifying data-center management. It supports two local users and one remote user, providing remote KVM over IP access via a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection, and is designed for rack-mount deployments in a 1U enclosure that measures about 17 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep (1U tall). Video output is VGA with a maximum around 1680×1050 per session, while USB interfaces handle local keyboard and mouse devices and the Ethernet port enables remote sessions. The AV3216-400 variant adds virtual media and CAC (smart card) support for enhanced remote access security. The unit is TAA compliant and can be managed alongside Vertiv DSView 4 for centralized, multi-device administration, making it suitable for consolidating access to multiple servers in server rooms, data centers, and remote offices.
