The Vortex VXT715 XD Series shaft-mounted gear reducer delivers a nominal 15:1 reduction (approximately 15.14:1 depending on configuration) in a cast-iron housing with a hollow-bore output and a 3-15/16" bushing kit for direct mounting on driven shafts, with torque reaction taken by an external torque arm. This helical parallel-shaft speed reducer handles input power up to about 117 HP class (application dependent) via a solid input shaft and provides a torque-multiplying drive for conveyors and bulk-material handling equipment, including screw feeders and bucket elevators. Lubrication is oil bath, and the unit mounts shaft-to-shaft in industrial systems, typically replacing worn shaft-mounted reducers or serving as a drivetrain upgrade in aggregates, grain handling, packaging conveyors, mining equipment, and related process machinery.
