Watts 9D-M3 Backflow Preventer Atmospheric Vent

The Watts 9D-M3 Backflow Preventer with Atmospheric Vent is a forged-brass, dual-check backflow preventer with an intermediate atmospheric vent that protects potable water systems from backpressure and backsiphonage in continuous-pressure, non-health-hazard applications. It features an integral stainless-steel internal assembly, rubber check valves and seats, and an integral strainer to shield internal components from debris, and it is rated for hot and cold water service with a maximum working pressure of 175 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 250°F (minimums: 25 psi and 33°F). The unit can be installed horizontally or vertically and uses female NPT union connections, delivering reliable cross-connection protection for boiler feed lines and process equipment; common applications include boiler feed lines, laboratory equipment, sterilizers, processing tanks, dairy equipment, and other commercial water systems requiring dependable backflow protection.
