Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. 5VY-14728-01-P0 Muffler Protector

The Yamaha 5VY-14728-01-P0 Muffler Protector is a genuine Yamaha heat shield designed for the Yamaha YZF-R1 exhaust system (2004–2006). This contoured exterior shield mounts on the muffler/exhaust assembly and reduces heat exposure by protecting the muffler and nearby components with a heat-resistant metal construction and coated finish, featuring a matte titanium appearance on model-dependent variants. As a replacement part, it supports maintenance, repair, and restoration of Yamaha exhaust protection covers. Common replacements include Yamaha 5VY-14728-01-P1, 5VY-14718-01-P0, and 5VY-14718-01-P1.
